Jelena Balić

Jelena Balic was born on 24th of may 1988. in Split, Croatia. She finishes elementary school in Dugi Rat, then goes to general-program gymnasium in Omis where she graduates in 2006. That same year she goes to the Faculty of Graphic Arts in Zagreb, in the graphic design division, and now is a regular student on the third year. She's been involved in photography work for the last four years, and in that time her photographs were published in various magazines, newspapers, editorials, billboards, cd covers, web pages and galleries, and exhibitions.

Experience: - Artists in residence program in organisation of Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture (Vienna, june to september 2009.) - „Fotosofia“ – one week photo-seminary led by an established Croatian photographer Damir Hoyka – chosen as one of the fifteen attendants (Tuheljske Toplice, Croatia, 2007.)

Work: - 2006. - official photographer of the WAKO world championship for kadets and juniors in Benkovac and Zadar - 2007. - official photographer of the Open championship in Dublin - 2007. to date - official photographer for Forum Gallery in Zagreb - 2009. to date - photographer for portals fashion.hr and ispace.com.hr and by fee for some of the Croatian fashion designers and various manifestations in Croatia.
